New publisher services

21 October 2026

You might have noticed a change to our website navigation over the last couple of days. We’ve introduced a new menu item for Tools and Services. That’s where you’ll find links to information about the Registry and the Validator, as well as automated harvesting tools for collecting COUNTER reports.

NEW Publisher Services

Tools and Services is also where you’ll find information about our new publisher services.

We’ve been offering platform assessments for a while now, testing out the process to make sure it’s helpful and informative. From November 2026 we’re adding a new audit readiness service. Preparing for a COUNTER audit can be stressful, and the audit itself can be complex. We designed the service to make sure that you are properly set up and ready before your audit begins. We combine validation with structured feedback direct from heavy-duty consumers of COUNTER reports. That means the service identifies potential compliance gaps early, before you get into the expensive audit process. We think the service is likely to be most useful to

  • Providers who’ve previously struggled with an audit.
  • Providers facing their first audit.
  • Publishers who want an external asessement of their technology provider’s service.
