Thank you to our Academy sponsors

13 June 2025

Thank you to Clarivate, Thieme and Scholarly IQ for being sponsors of the first COUNTER Academy in 2025. Their sponsorship means that we can offer free spaces to most of the library and library consortium members participants in the first COUNTER Academy course. Thank you also to Cambridge University Press for sponsoring the creation of the course.

The first COUNTER Academy course will start in July. There is a lot of interest in the Academy and the first course is already oversubscribed. See our post yesterday detailing how we will allocate spaces.

Academy spaces are available to all COUNTER members (see our member page to check if your organisation is a member). However, we are limiting each course to one participant from each member organisation. We also ask people to ensure they have the time to commit to doing an eight-module course over four months before taking up a space.

Sign up for the COUNTER Academy in 2026

We hope to run two COUNTER Academy courses in 2026. We will give priority to people who signed up for the 2025 course but did not get a space. If you want to join the list for 2026 then sign up using the button below. You can also express a preference for a course at the beginning of the year or the middle.

Sponsor future COUNTER Academy courses

Being a sponsor of the COUNTER Academy enables us to offer free spaces to librarians. Sponsorship starts at £1000, which covers four library places. Sponsors who contribute £1500 or more will also be offered a bonus spot for a member of their staff to join the Academy.

To explore sponsorship or for any questions, please contact sian@countermetrics.org.
