Survey shows continued happiness with COUNTER

12 September 2024

The COUNTER community continues to be happy with COUNTER. In our latest satisfaction survey 86% of respondents said they were happy or very happy with what COUNTER is doing. This echoes the strong support from the community seen in previous surveys.

“I really appreciate the stable nature of COUNTER with concrete standards/auditing for metrics.”

This year we asked respondents what they use COUNTER for. The most common uses (given by more that half of respondents) were: purchasing and cancellation decisions; cost per use calculations; and management reporting. Reporting to consortia or national bodies and internal sales and marketing activity were also popular responses.

In terms of future plans, there is strong interest from the COUNTER community in having more educational resources.
