COUNTER REGISTRY
The COUNTER Registry is where you can find information about usage data hosts – the technology groups which provide COUNTER reports – and the platforms or publisher websites that they support.
What does Registry inclusion mean?
Report providers are included in the COUNTER Registry if they meet all three of the following criteria:
- They have developed COUNTER reporting services as outlined in the Code of Practice. These include:
- Delivering reports in both tabular format and in JSON format through the COUNTER API (formerly sushi).
- Their reports and their COUNTER API pass the technical checks applied by the Validation Tool.
- They are compliant or are working towards compliance with the Code. That means they have passed an audit, or their first audit is in progress or scheduled to start within three months.
- They support the standard and the COUNTER community through membership.
The Registry API
As well as the user interface, the Registry can be accessed programatically from registry.countermetrics.org/api/v1. There are four endpoints:
- /platform, for information about publisher platforms that are COUNTER-compliant.
- /usage-data-host, for information about COUNTER-compliant technology providers supporting the different platforms.
- /counter-release, for information about which Release is available.
- /notification, for alerts about migrations, outages and more.
